Stress: The Hair Killer

Stress on any level can be damaging, especially to your hair if the stress is not properly dealt with and eliminated.  In the last eight months I have undergone a series of events that have caused me great stress at one time or another.  I spent a lot of time angry, frustrated, and for a moment I really thought God was punishing me because I felt failed on so many occasions.  And — I’d say — probably around March I started to see the changes in my hair.  Though they were small changes, I was paying close attention, particularly at the ends where I know my hair tends to take the toughest hit.  From March to the early part of June, I spent a significant time taking care of my hair with oils, and constant washing and conditioning, reduced amount of heat, tons of water, just to keep it from…
